We are pleased to have helped The Fore recently to set up an emergency fund in the wake of the Coronavirus epidemic. The RAFT (Rapid Action by The Fore and Trusts) is a fund to help support charities and non-profit organisations impacted by the virus. They offer unrestricted grants of up to £5k for any organisation with an annual turnover of less than £500k. By doing this it means those small charities and organisations are the ones at the front of the queue, many of these organisations have found it difficult to keep themselves running during this crisis but they are paramount in helping those who need it most during this difficult time. This fund may be what they need to keep themselves afloat and keep providing for those who need it most.
This fund not only offers grants but also offers skilled volunteers to aid those businesses who are under a lot of pressure in many areas such as; legal advice, help in claiming government support, HR and employee support, new business models and so much more. This is open to any charity or non-profit wishing to gain some support – as well as this The Fore asking anyone who has these skills and is willing to help to sign up and offer your services.
This is a fantastic idea from The Fore that will no doubt save some of these organisations and we at Creative Coop were more than happy to respond quickly and help The Fore integrate the new features on their site so they can start fundraising and helping those in need. We hope this fund makes a huge difference to the first 500 organisations that have been awarded the fund, and it shows that by helping each other we can get through this.
